Everyone has a story. And, if you’re a child of God, it can be summed up in three simple words: Beauty for ashes. We once were lost, and now we’re found. God took our filthy rags and made them clean. Our sins were as scarlet, but He made them white as snow. And it’s all because Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we might become the righteousness of God.
Each of us has a different story, but the ending is the same. We were dead in our sins, but He made us alive together with Christ. We have died to this life, and our new life is hidden with Christ in God. We have all experienced God’s love, forgiveness, and grace in countless, untold ways in our lives.
It is our hope that, through this blog, we can share our stories—stories of brokenness and stories of frailty, but stories of redemption and stories of triumph. On this journey of life to become more like Christ, we understand the reality that we will stumble and fall, but we also know that His power is perfected in our weakness. Even in our failures, God is working to refine us and to mold us. This blog is a way to share what God is doing in our lives—both what He is teaching us and how He is revealing Himself to us. It is our hope to encourage and build one another up in our daily walks, bear one another’s burdens, point one another to Christ and, in doing so, reflect the love of Christ to others.
We’ve all been given beauty for ashes, and that’s a story worth telling.
